I am Abdul Faiyaz, originally from Namuka Cuvu Sigatoka. I started my teaching career at D.A.V college, Ba , where I served for 2 years. Currently I have a total teaching experience of 15 years having served in 5 different schools. Currently I possess Masters in Education and bachelor in Agriculture from Alafua Campus in Samoa. Here at NAC, I teach Agricultural Science for all levels from year 9 to year 13. I have a passion to teach Practical Agriculture for the following reasons.

  1. Hands-on Learning:Practical agriculture allows students to learn by doing, which can lead to a deeper understanding of concepts and techniques.
  2. Skill Development:Students can develop important skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork through practical agriculture activities.
  3. Preparation for Career:For students interested in pursuing a career in agriculture or related fields, practical experience can provide valuable training and preparation.
  4. Understanding of Sustainability:Practical agriculture can help students understand the importance of sustainable farming practices and how they can contribute to environmental conservation.
  5. Connection to Food Production:By engaging in practical agriculture, students can gain a better appreciation for where their food comes from and the effort that goes into producing it.

Overall, teaching practical agriculture can help students develop important skills, gain practical experience, and foster a deeper understanding of the agricultural industry.
