Message from Assistant Principal

Greetings to all the readers,

It is my privilege and profound pleasure to forward a message for academic year 2024 as an Assistant Principal. This leadership position bestows power, commands and fosters achievement but in return, seeks word of love, respect , kindness and good examples which is  necessary for successful leader.  The year began in a very modest way with hopes, objectives, and strategies for extraordinary achievement. Team Arya performs superbly in every extracurricular activity recognized by the school, significantly enhancing the teaching and learning process. I commend all the participants in this institution for their contributions to the great outcomes throughout the year.

Nowadays students have numerous issues concerning them and very often many of them are entangled in these problems which later on give rise to social issues very much common in modern day societies.  However, at Nadroga Arya College, these issues are minimum.  With few having late arrivals, absentees problem, disruption to classes, improper hair style, improper shoes and bullying, majority of the students are well behaved.

At home parents can be factors in guiding their children with values and leading their life with standards so that together we can produce highly respected citizen of the nation.  Parents are urged to communicate with their children to consider their options carefully before taking any action. To meet their expanding challenges, parents and guardians must spend quality time with their children at home, carefully monitor their academic progress, and regularly engage in friend-like conversation. Give your kids some time so they can learn how to make good decisions in life. While they are still young, instil good character in your children. We can simply shape young brains so that the community has peace, wealth, and success. Have frequent discussions about their safety, bullying, and abuse.

To all students your life is a never-ending learning experience. Always be ready with a positive attitude to learn new things as life unfolds in order to succeed and have lasting success. Establish moral discipline in order to model success in education for others by inspiring, motivating, and appreciating them. To live a happy life, follow the rules at all times and pay attention to your parents.  We have opened the school door, fill yourselves with all the joys, laughter, learning, sharing, love, friendships, bonds, morals, teachings and the rightful essence of existence.

Brief of Mrs Sandiya Roop

I was born and raised in Sigatoka.   My teaching career started at Nadroga Arya College in 2002 and later I was posted to Cuvu College in 2005.  I was transferred back to Nadroga Arya College  in  2014 after serving Cuvu college for 9 years.   This is my 10^th year in this school.    I teach Accounting for Year 11 and Economics for Year 13. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2001 and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education in 2005 from University of the South Pacific.
