About the Department:

The Social Science Department was established in 2016. This was made possible by our college former Principal, Mr.Kuruisaqila. It was also at the year when the History subject was introduced to the college, apart from Geography. This created another option for the students in their career paths. There has been an increase in the number of students opting to take up social science subjects in the senior levels.
The department comprises of experience and dedicated members, which in total of four teachers. This has contributed to the great academic results in the years. Last year (2023), through the organisation our college Head of School, who also happens to belong to the department, the Year 13 students went for a field trip around Viti Levu.
The department is planning for excursions every year, as this is one way of enhancing students understanding. Our target this year is to be consistent with our academic results, which is 100%. We are optimistic that we have the expertise and resources to execute it.
